dews toothbrush

DEWS is an upstanding toothbrush that incorporates a weight within its rounded handle base to keep the bristles away from dirty surfaces. DEWS does away with concerns about whether your toothbrush is resting on an unhygienic surface. This upstanding toothbrush makes use of a weight at the end of its rounded handle to create a centre of gravity at the handle base. When the toothbrush is set down, it will sway momentarily until it reaches a position of balance ? much like a tumble doll. DEWS has been designed with ergonomic considerations, and its weight allows for comfortable brushing.

dryerhair

The hair dryer is a fine instrument and does its job well but its design has stagnated. What designers usually tackle is the form of the dryer and forget the hanging wire and its storage. Dryerhair is a blow-dryer that features an elongated backend….kinda like an extra housing space to coil in the wire.

dyson fan AM02 & AM03

Dyson has developed two new Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans: the AM02 Tower and the AM03 Pedestal. Engineered for larger spaces, the floor standing machines produce a far greater airflow than the previous iteration – AM03 Pedestal generates 50% more airflow than the AM01 Desk fan.
Both new fans come with a remote control, which is magnetised to conveniently locate itself on the machine.
James Dyson says:
“Air conditioning is inefficient and gives little or no ventilation. The new machines are engineered to circulate smooth un-buffeted air in larger rooms. They draw in and multiply up to 50% more air than our desk fan.”

Mast Humidifier by Shin Okada

We have yet to find a humidifier that we like because every crappy one becomes a cesspool of bacteria within days. And all the other ones are either too bulky, too ugly or too expensive. Until today. Meet Mast, an exquisite creation of pure Hinoki (Japanese Cypress), recently designed by Shin Okada and crafted by Masuya Koubou. Known for its high-quality timber, rot-resistant qualities and lemony scent, the thinly sliced Hinoki mast absorbs water from the hull and diffuses it, and its intrinsic aroma, into the room. And it goes without saying, but no electricity needed. I am willing to bet money that it will look more elegant than the damp washcloth draped over my ceiling fan.

You can purchase it here (Japanese) for 6,300 yen.

Deni Musical Cake Tray

If you have a Christmas cake to slice but the brandy has made your fraction shaky, this plate will to the maths for you. Just dial the number of slices (up to 12) and LED markers around the edge will light up to show you where to cut. It also works for pizza, and plays happy birthday.

Fan Blades Made of Chicken Wings
No joke! This fan can make your chicken wing fan fantasy a reality! With the “JOININ’ Fan” you can clip in whatever you like! Though you may have been inundated with false lab-made smells if you work amongst other people, your nose always knows. Let your nose have a rose. Clip in some pedals and let ‘er fly! Wafting the loveliness of whatever blades you choose to insert, the Joinin’ Fan is exactly the kind of cute invention that all free-spirited kawaii-seekers aught to peek at.
Qian Jiang and Yiying Wu have a lovely poem written for you explaining the usages and the spirit of this fun-loving and oddly appealing non-traditional fan.
Three clips no fan blade
So what’s next
In spring
go to seek some sweet flowers
In summer
go to seek some boards
At Christmas
go to seek some red stockingsBut can I clip chicken drumsticks
But can I clip silk ribbons
Sure, why not
It’s all your life
Enjoy it
Enjoy it indeed!
And of course, we must discuss the chicken. What about the chicken? How is that even a thing that anyone would have even thought of putting in this fan. How realistic is basically every chicken-lovers strangest dream… or nightmare?

Daylight saving clock
Or is it two functions? It tells time, yes, time perfectly well. But it eliminates the problem that I just saw, not 2 minutes ago, saw the tv character “Monk” having. At daylight savings time, a person has to set their clock back or forward exactly one hour. For some clocks, this is basically impossible because the spinner spins all the wheels spinning at the same spin. With this “Ora ilLegale” clock, as you can see, it’s a cinch!
For you Monks out there who’ve got to be precise about your daylight savings time changes. Some statistics of this minimalistic tic-toc wonder are as follows:
Material: wood and clock components
Colour: white or black
Dimensions: diameter 18 cm x 6 cm
Quartz movement
Is it a full package?
It will eventually be produced by NAVA, and will be displayed at the upcoming Milan Design Week.
Designer: Denis Guidone

Tilt its base to set it forward or back one hour
