Great craftsmanship went into making designer Craig Siebeneck’s Idea Bench. The dramatic curves are achieved by cutting Baltic birch plywood into a general figure, laminating layer upon layer, free-hand carving, and hours of sanding and smoothing. Phew! Originally prototyped in bright blue paint, there’s no denying the warm and inviting touch of the hand-rubbed oil finish seen here.
