
spanish designer carlos tiscar created the altavoz modular shelf system to mimic the form of loudspeakers.
the design consists of a series of boxes each with angled interior sides. the slight angle of the sides creates
a visual amplification and adds shadow to the form. the modules come in three sizes matched to the A4,
A3 and A2 paper size formats. these can be arranged in a variety of ways, mounted on the wall, sitting
on a desk or even on the floor. tiscar explained that some of the inspiration came from the architecture of
le corbusier and artist jorge oteiza, both shown below.
