‘alan chair’ (birch plywood)

hundredstensunits is a coventry, england based design studio producing simple products and furniture.
the group consists of designers matt bassett, david horan and tom nelson. the three banded together to
design and manufacture their own work that they aim to make ‘beautiful and useful’. the group is in the
process of manufacturing their first product range that includes some of the following pieces. among them
is the simple u-shaped ‘a4 lamp’, the plywood ‘alan chair’ and the ‘a-series storage’ unit that combines
four different materials into a simple geometric shelf.
