Takashi Tomii  is an artisan based in Kyoto and creates stunning wooden tableware out  of solid pieces of wood that he hand-picks. Dylan Kendall’s Efeet Collection is pretty sweet – bowls, vases, sugar bowls, all with feet. It reminds me of Jorine Oosterhoff’s Tea Time tableware  – I don’t know what it is about adding a pair of feet to a bowl or a  vase, but it definitely makes for some happy tableware. Even better, $1  of every item sold goes to support Hollywood Arts.

The facility will host the  swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and water polo events for the  London 2012 summer olympics. It’s a pretty incredible looking building. I thought that the D-Torso  booth was pretty fun. It featured life size animals, and a moving  robot. A version of the giraffe is currently on display in a zoo in  Japan. The curvaceous Duga chair  is reminiscent of the classic contours of steam molded Viennese bentwood  furniture. It’s familiar shape also takes inspiration from the  distinctive tubular curves and wonderful craftsmanship of vintage  bicycles, making for a graceful and overall elegant design with a modern  touch.
